Astronauts, etc. - Sadie
There is a fragile balance to Astronauts, etc. on project's debut EP, Sadie — an attempt to reconcile contradiction. Harmonious conflict rolls through mastermind Anthony Ferraro's uniquely soulful compositions with a struggling duality innate in each note. A classically trained pianist with French composer Hector Berlioz tattooed on his arm, Ferraro approaches his songwriting with both a disregard for his 15 years of focused lessons and a respect for the skill those studies have afforded him.
Available now on standard black vinyl, limited to 500 copies. Includes digital download card.
There is a fragile balance to Astronauts, etc.’s debut EP, Sadie, as Anthony Ferraro approaches his soulful bedroom ballads with a mix of disregard and respect for the 15 years of studying classical piano that eventually led to these earnest compositions. While Ferraro’s falsetto croons atop his spacey keyboard and heady production, there is an essence of heartbreaking torment that brings listeners intimately close to the artist’s world. At once uplifting and melancholy, harmonious conflict rolls through Sadie with a struggling duality innate in each note.
Good for fans of Bon Iver, Blue Boats, Beach House, The Antlers, Toro Y Moi
Available on standard black vinyl with digital download card included.
