For the past decade I have worked as a freelance writer, reporter and editor covering a wide range of subjects, from city politics to travel to arts and culture and more. My clients have included Billboard, Los Angeles Times, Rolling Stone, Vice, Nylon, W, Spin, The Hollywood Reporter, LA Weekly, and Flaunt. My work has spanned mediums to include print, digital, video and documentary projects.
As a cast member of the 2007 MTV series I'm From Rolling Stone, I became comfortable on-camera and behind the scenes working with a TV crew. I have continued this since with video interviews for various editorial outlets such as The Hollywood Reporter, Spin, Yours Truly, Filter, Blender, and Hearst's Sweet channel on Snapchat, while becoming familiar with long form formats when I first contributed to Diplo's 2008 documentary Favela on Blast and acted as a consultant to the 2014 film Mateo.
In this time, I have come to most value my ability to conduct deep, interesting interviews. My belief is that this is indicative of an innate characteristic that allows me to listen to subjects with empathy and act without judgment to find the "heart" of any story.
